Berlin 2 (DE)

Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg is the second borough of Berlin, formed in 2001 by merging the former East Berlin borough of Friedrichshain and the former West Berlin borough of Kreuzberg. Friedrichshain was District 5 in the 1920 created Gross-Berlin.

Anhalter Bahnhof

The Anhalter Bahnhof is a former railway terminus, southeast of Potsdamer Platz. Once one of Berlin's most important railway stations, it was severely damaged in World War II, and finally closed for traffic in 1952, when the GDR-owned Deutsche Reichsbahn rerouted all railway traffic between Berlin and places in the GDR avoiding the West Berlin area.

Ostbahnhof

The Berlin Ostbahnhof station opened in 1842 as Frankfurter Bahnhof as the terminus of the 100-km railway to Frankfurt (Oder). Originally a conglomerat from 3 railway stations: "Frankfurter Bahnhof" (Tracks A+B), "Hannoverscher Bahnhof" (Track C), and "Wriezener Bahnhof" (outside).
