Chios (GR)

From Stamps of the World

Chios (Greek: Χίος, pronounced [ˈçios]; also Khíos and Híos) is the fifth largest of the Greek islands (842 km²), situated in the Aegean Sea. The island is separated from Turkey by the Chios Strait. After the First Balkan War (1912), Turkey recognized Greece's annexation of Chios and the other Aegean islands by the Treaty of London (May 1913).
