Deta is a town (6,260 inhabitants in October 2011) in Timiș County in Banat, western Romania. It administers also a village, Opatița. Names: In German: Detta; in Hungarian: Detta; in Serbian: Дета / Deta. Opatița is known as Ungarisch-Opatitz in German, and as Magyarapáca in Hungarian.
