Centenary of the First Estonian Motion Picture[edit]

0.45€ ~ photograph of Johannes Pääsukese, 1892-1918, with ciné-camera
The first film was made in Tartu on April 14 and 15, 1912, of the flight of pilot Sergei Utochkin to Tartu barracks in a Farman bi-plane, and first screened on April 17, 1912. Still photographs (used on FDC) of the event have survived, but not Pääsukese's movie. He worked as a war photographer from 1914 (killed in a train crash in White Russia, Jan 8, 1918)
