Notes: the second design (map) is freeform shaped around the outline of Finland with a detached portion around Åland. This is contained within the first design with is die-cut in a circle. Both designs and border also illustrate triangulation system; the Arc was constructed by F G W Struve, a German astronomer and mathematician, in the 19th century, to measure the circumference and diameter of the earth.
