Frykstad (also; Frykstad). Fryksta is a small village on the south end of the Fryken lake system in Värmland, Sweden. The lake is divided into three parts, Upper Fryken (Övre Fryken); Middle Fryken (Mellan-Fryken) and Lower Fryken (Nedre Fryken). The village lies just north east of the town of Kil.

The Post Office called Frykstad was opened in 1872. In 1876 the name was changed to Fryksta. Fryksta office was closed on 30 Nov 1926, when Postal services went to the larger town of Kil.
