FRAMA labels, second (permanent) issue. Tara Brooch design[edit]


These Framas, with pale brown background label colour and white gum, are the second (permanent) An Post design, with repeating background of Tara brooch c 700AD
The first four cities with installed FRAMA machines dispensing these labels are covered by the First Day Cover shown in 32 penny denominations, with city names are in Irish, followed by the machine number
All denominations between 1 and 9999 pennies were available to machine users
Other machines were introduced in subsequent months, and had their own FD cancel cover
the first (experimental) FRAMA label in Ireland was issued 8th October 1990 and had no background design b ut incorporated the emblems of the four Provinces of Ireland in the corners
