- Notes. Despite Europa stamps for 1992 commemorating 1492-1992, there are no Columbus topicals in this series. This was deliberate, as the Isle of Man has no direct link with the anniversary. Miles Standish, a Manxman and portrayed on the First Day Cover was, however, Military Captain on the Mayflower
