New South Wales Postal Agency, 1892 - 1908

In 1892, the mail was re-routed to Vila. The local manager of the AUSNCo was then appointed as postal agent of the New Hebrides Agency on 1 July 1892, and soon after was provided with a postmarker. He was supplied with 2½d stamps.

From 1893 till 1908, the management of the agency changed with the fortunes of the various shipping lines and the establishment of the Commonwealth Postmaster-General’s Department following federation in 1901. It would appear that the 2½d, 2d and 1d denominations were officially supplied, but others are known to have been used.
