My name is Andrew Alison, but everyone knows me as Drew! Born in South Africa but have been living in London for the last 6 years.

I started collecting stamps when I was 13 years old - I still have the first set I ever purchased, its a control strip so I can tell you the exact day I started collecting :-). Living in South Africa and now London my main collections are built around these areas. Union of South Africa giving me enough collecting options to last me a lifetime. I also have a weak eye for against the norm items - the 00p machins, Gerald King Fantasy stamps and many others.
[edit] Why this site ?
For a long time now I have wanted to put an online reference guide, there is tonnes of information out there but what a task for one person. The mediawiki solves this, anyone, anywhere, anytime can contribute and hopefully over time the site can start to bring together philatelic information. My nickname says it all - StampStudy - Stamps satisfy my need to learn new things about any possible subject you can think of. It really is the king of Hobbies.
