Description

These new tabbed stamp designs are being issued to accommodate the increase in postage rates. There are ten stamps in the issue, nine designs at the base rate and one for large letters. ‘Car’ is the only design without a counterpart in previous issues. It was added to the range to meet customers’ requests for more overtly masculine designs for sending by, or to, men and boys.

Stamps

As is usual for stamps with tabs, these will be issued with decorative tabs as sheets for Personalised Stamps service. Sheets issued for sale in post offices will be printed in three multi-design issue sheets and have a plain, 10 mm selvedge.

Australia Post marked the 2004 AFL season with a series of official souvenir booklets. Each booklet will include 20 x 50c Australia and Globe stamps and 20 stickers. Each club’s booklet will be personalised with pages of text and images about the club and its star players interleaved with the stamp panes. The stamp tabs will be printed with images of team members nominated by their club.

Each booklet has 20 x 50c stamps and information related to its star sign, including personality traits, attitudes to life, and likes and dislikes.The colours, stones, flowers, trees and animals significant to each zodiac sign are also listed, along with well-known people born under the sign.
