Bydgoszcz is a city (363,926 inhabitants in March 2011) located in northern Poland, on the Brda and Vistula rivers. It has been the seat of Bydgoszcz County and the co-capital, with Toruń, of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship since 1999.
It was the capital of the District of Bromberg, in Prussian Posen province (before 1870).
