Cartago (pronunciation: [kaɾˈtaɣo]) is a city (124,242 inhabitants in 2012) in southwestern Colombia. It is in the extreme northern portion of the Valle del Cauca Department.
It is the 4th largest city in Valle after Cali, Palmira, and Tuluá. It was founded in 1540.
