An 1802 book looking at the mileage between points around the country on the mail coach roads and crossways of Great Britain commissioned by the King. This was to establish the accurate map making that was going on at the times and incorporates nobility, nearby villages and the crossroads that would take you to them. All distances are measured from the GPO in London and are shown in stage mileages as well as cumulative mileage.
