Wilhelm Dachauer was an Austrian painter and graphic artist. (05 Apr 1881, Ried im Innkreis (Austria) - 26 Feb 1951, Wien (Austria))
He was (among others) Professor at the "Academy of Fine Arts Vienna" 1927-1945. His stamp set about the Nibelungs (for Austria) was awarded in 1926 as "Most Beautiful Stamp of the World". Also he designed many stamps for Nazi-Germany and the "Generalgouvernement" beside of paintings from the concentration camp Mauthausen.
