From Stamps of the World

The Kingdom of Prussia (German: Königreich Preußen) was a Kingdom that constituted the state of Prussia between 1701 and 1918 and included parts of present-day countries Germany, Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Denmark, Belgium and the Czech Republic. The Kingdom was split in 9 provinces in 1867: Brandenburg, East Prussia, Pomerania, Posen, Rheinland, Saxony (not the Kingdom!), Silesia, West Prussia and Westphalia. The post of Prussia administered also some historical entities like the Duchy of Anhalt. There were 3852 post offices. Offices operating on 1 January 1868 used North German Confederation Postmarks, in Groschen or Kreuzer currency, until the creation of the German Empire.
