From Stamps of the World
Bertalan Székely (German: "Batholomäus Szekely") was a Hungarian painter of the Romanticism, Historism, and the Genre-painting of the 19th century. (08 May 1835, Klausenburg ("Cluj-Napola" in Romania) - 21 August 1910, Budapest (Hungary))
His painting style can be characterised with good reason as eclecticism between Historism, Syncretism, Romanticism, and Neoclassicism of the 19th century. He is seen as representant of the "Academic Style" in Hungary.
