Note:
The "XXXV Baseball World Cup" took place in the time 12 - 15 October 2003 in Havana (Cuba) under participition of the national teams from 15 different countries worldwide. The gold medal winner at this World Cup was the team from Cuba; silver medal winner was the team from Nicaragua, and bronze medal winner was the team from China. Since October 1986 is baseball as "Olympic sports discipline" authorized and at the Olympic Summer Games 1992 in Barcelona (Spain) took place an Olympic baseball tournament as first once.

Note 2:
The currency on the Cuban 2003 stamps is the "Cuban Peso" (CUP) = "Moneda Nacional" (MN) with the fragmentation 1 Peso = 100 Centavos. (not to mistake with the 1994 created CUC with the actual exchange rate 25 CUP = 1 CUC. Actually are stamps sold to tourists only in CUC, but postcards and letters reach seldom their receiver adresses. Native Cubans can purchase and use stamps in CUP.)
