Shade descriptions

Colour shades use the following nomenclature. The primary shade of the stamp is given second, the hue is given first. i.e. brown red is a primarily red stamp with brown hues. Similarly an orange red is a red stamp with orange hues.

Also bear in mind that with the Line Engraved blueing of the paper may also affect visually the apparent shade of the stamps.
