Gardelegen (pronunciation: [ˈɡaʁdəleːɡən]) is a town (23,148 inhabitants end 2015) in the district Altmark Salzwedel, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is situated on the right bank of the Milde, on the main line of railway Berlin-Hanover. Since 2009 it has included Algenstedt.
