Note:
The XVth World Masterships in Luge took place in Oberhof in the time 16 – 18 February 1973 (then district of Suhl, contemporary Thuringia, Germany). The Oberhof track was built in 1969-1970 (inaugurated 1971) after plans of the "Planungsbüro Deyle", Stuttgart (later continued by the "Wissenschaftliches Technikzentrum für Sportbauten", Leipzig). The original 1354m long track (competition length in later time: 1369,70 m with 14 curves) is located at the "Schützenberg" at Oberhof.
