This memorial (original name „Monumento alla Resistenza Europea“) was created by the Italian sculptor Gianni Colombo (1937-1993) and inaugurated on 28 May 1983. It is located in the „Tessin“-landscape near the town Como (German name „Chum“) in the Italian region „Lombardy“ near the Swiss border.
