Gravesend (GB) West Street

From Stamps of the World

The office in West Street was opened in 1849 at no. 13, near Town Pier, when it was issued with a straight line mark. It was renumbered to no. 90 when the street was renumbered around 1859. It moved to no. 30 in 1860 to the shop of HG Armstrong, grocer.
The straight line mark is known in blue / blue-green and in black. Tilley noted two sizes, 24mm and 28mm. Further examples with dates would be a useful addition.

The office closed in 1861 and a pillar box was erected in the High Street, near the town hall.
