The Post Office was originally named Boschkopjes which was open for 16 months, then its name was changed to Groot Spelonken. It is now known as Groot Spelonk. It is on the banks of the Olifantsriviere (Olifants River) down river of the Loskop Dam. Groot Spelonk is 25km North West of Middelburg.
