Hamm (pronunciation: [ˈham], Latin: Hammona) is a city (179.397 inhabitants end 2015) in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located in the northeastern part of the Ruhr area. Hamm railway station is an important hub for rail transport and renowned for its distinctive station building.
