Note:
Due to the scan processes, the gold on these stamps and the writing on the obverse of the card appears dark to black. Anyway is metallic glamour only the effect of an interaction between sun light (all frequencies emitting by the sun together) and the atoms of the surface structure of the metal. Therefore are stamps and card a real challenge and each of the SOTW-community is called to improve the visibility of the files to this issue.

To the stamp motives:
- 0.85 (CHF) : A "snowman" (German: "Schneemann") as general North European symbol of the winter as such and also as symbol of the hopeness for white Christmas days in the pre-Christmas time
- 1.00 (CHF) : A "nutcracker" (German: "Nussknacker") as general Christmassy symbol. Originally only a culrure element in the areas of the Ore Mountains, but after the Second World War it got about the whole world, not least because of US-soldiers which brought home such figures as souvenirs from Germany. (The music sentence "Nutcracker Suite" by Peter Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) illustrates well rather an exception.)
- 1.50 (CHF) : A "rocking horse" (German: "Schaukelpferd") as symbol für all the unfilled wishes of the children. Originally only a toy in the children rooms of richer families caused by a very expensive manufacture process
- 2.00 (CHF) : A "Christmas angel" (German: "Weihnachtsengel") as divine summoner of the happy message in relation to the biblic Christmas story
