Malmedy (earlier officially named Malmédy) is a bilingual French-German city and municipality (12,336 inhabitants in 2013) of Belgium. It lies in the Walloon province of Liège. It includes Bellevaux-Ligneuville, and Beverce. In the period 1815-1919 it belonged to the Kingdom of Prussia (Empire of Germany).
