Melsungen ([ˈmɛlzʊŋən]) is a small climatic spa town (13,381 inhabitants end 2015) in the Schwalm-Eder district in northern Hesse. It has joined with Adelshausen, Günsterode, Kehrenbach, Kirchhof, Obermelsungen, Röhrenfurth and Schwarzenberg since 1971.
