Netherlands 1962 Gouda stamps on fluorescence paper

  • The Gouda stamps are three stamps of 4 cents, 8 cents (Van Krimpen numeral stamp) and 12 cents (Juliana en-profile) which were printed on fluorescent paper (NVPH number 774-776) for a test with a stamping machine ("Facer") in Gouda. The stamps were issued on August 27, 1962 and the corresponding stamping machine was put into service on November 17. These are the only fluorescent stamps issued in the Netherlands.
