Oberammergau (DE)

Oberammergau is a municipality (5,114 inhabitants end 2013) in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in Upper Bavaria. The town is famous for its house wall paintings (Lüftlmalerei), production of a Passion Play every 10 years, its religious woodcarvers, and the NATO School. It used stamps issued by the Bavaria (Bayern) State until 1920.
