Schönebeck ([ˈʃøːnəbɛk]) is a town (31,366 inhabitants end 2015) in the district of Salzland, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is situated on the left bank of the Elbe. For much of the twentieth century it was noted for its large salt mine.
