Vranov nad Topľou (Hungarian: Varannó) is a city (22,298 inhabitants end 2014) in eastern Slovakia (Prešov Region), between the Topľa River and the Ondava River. The Domaša Dam Lake was built by blocking the Ondava river course at the village of Veľká Domaša. The villages of Dobrá nad Ondavou, Trepec, Kelča, Valkov, and Petejovce were flooded in 1967. Historically in the Kingdom of Hungary, province of Hungary, ;; County before the creation of Czechoslovakia in 1918.
