Chatelet (BE)

Châtelet is a municipality (36,196 inhabitants in 2013) located in the Walloon province of Hainaut, on the river Sambre. It includes Châtelet, Châtelineau and Bouffioulx.

Postal history

The CHATELET post-office opened on 1 August 1844, CHATELINEAU on 1 December 1850. Both used a postal code 26 with bars (before 1864), and 78 with points before 1870. The BOUFFIOULX post-office opened on 28 November 1879.
