The stamp motive shows a Princely hat as crown of the Princes of Liechtenstein. The stamp shall commemorate to the year 1719 as the then Emperor (of the Holy Roman Empire of German Nation) Karl VI unified the territories of the countship of Vaduz and of the barony of Schellenberg and increased the unified territory to the state of a "Reichsfürstentum". To that time, both territories were private possession of the then Prince Hans Adam I of Liechtenstein. Although these landscapes are settled since more as 4000 years or more, this is seen as birth hour of the contemporary Principality of Liechtenstein.
