Stamps used by some countries for use on official mail by the Armed forces.
Great Britain
An overprint applied to British low value postage stamps and used by station and district paymaster's offices betwen 1896 and 1904.
The stamps were used for all their correspondence with the exception of letters to the War Office, on which no postage was required.
