- Notes: The design of the 5p appears to be a mock-up (GB mint stamp, cancellation overlain)as early mail from Ascension, if cancelled, usually had postmark placed away from the stamp and in any case no hand-stamp is reported to have been supplied to the island until February 1858<compiler note> - further information welcomed on this matter. The miniature sheet contains one stamp of Ascension (25p), one stamp of St Helena and one stamp of Tristan, and was on sale in all three territories
