Description

The Personal Greetings stamps are suitable for a variety of special occasions such as birthdays, Christmas, the birth of a baby, weddings and postacard greetings to friends and relatives overseas. Australia Post has created a philatelic precedent with these stamps. It is the first postal administration to issue stamps which can be personalized.

Stamps

The tab (label) which could be personalized measures 17 mm wide except for the Happy Christmas Stamp which measures 24 mm in width. This was to provide space for a family portrait if desired. Personalized stamps were only issued in the sheetlets with the decorative selvedge.
