Chai Wan (/ˌtʃaɪ ˈwɑːn/; Chinese: 柴灣), formerly known as Sai Wan (西灣), lies at the east end of the urban area of Hong Kong Island next to Shau Kei Wan. The area is administratively part of the Eastern District, and is a mosaic of industrial and residential areas. The population was 186,505 in 2001.

Chai Wan is built on land reclaimed from the bay and extends west from Lei Yue Mun in Heng Fa Chuen and east to Siu Sai Wan. Mount Collinson and Pottinger Peak on the south and Mount Parker on the west, restrict further development. Shek O Country Park is at the south of Chai Wan.

Yue Wan Estate (Chinese: 漁灣邨) is a public estate located near Chai Wan Park, Tsui Wan Estate and Tsui Lok Estate. Built on the reclaimed land in Chai Wan, the estate consists of four residential blocks which were developed in two phases, built in 1977 and 1978 respectively.

Chai Wan Post Office was opened 1965.01.08 at: 柴灣新區16座地下. It moved in February 1978 to its current (Sept. 2019) address: G/F, Administration Building, Yue Wan Estate, 365 Chai Wan Road, Chai Wan, Hong Kong [柴灣道漁灣邨行政大樓].
