Estaimpuis (BE)

Estaimpuis (in Dutch Steenput) is a Walloon municipality (10,424 inhabitants end 2017) of Belgium located in the province of Hainaut, at the border with France. It consists of the former municipalities of Estaimpuis, Bailleul, Estaimbourg, Évregnies, Leers-Nord, Néchin, and Saint-Léger.

Postal history

The NECHIN post office opened on 1 December 1850. It used a postal code 170 - changed to 167 in 1858 - with bars (before 1864), and 266 with points before 1874. The LEERS-NORD post office opened on 12 July 1910.
