Meant is the town Uzès in the Département Gard in the Region "L‘Occitanie" (This region was formed in 2016 by merging of the then regions "Languedoc-Roussilon" and "Midi-Pyrénées".) with the castle of Uzès ("Château d‘Uzès").; This castle was built over a Roman "Castrum" as residence of a Roman Governor in the first centuries AD. Later, this castle was the seat of the Dukes of Uzès. The Duchy of Uzès as one of the three Duchies of France.
