Frasnes-lez-Anvaing is a Walloon municipality (11,740 inhabitants end 2017) located in the Belgian province of Hainaut. Since the merge of 1977, it includes the former municipalities of Ainières, Anvaing, Arc, Buissenal, Dergneau, Ellignies, Forest, Frasnes-lez-Buissenal, Hacquegnies, Herquegies, Moustier, Oeudeghien, Saint-Sauveur and Wattripont.

Postal history before 1910

The FRASNES (-lez-Buissenal) post office opened on 1 October 1844. It used a Distribution code 17 with vertical bars (before 1864), and 136 with points before 1874. The ANVAING post office opened on 25 January 1865. It used 25 with points before 1874. The ST-SAUVEUR on 20 January 1903 (after a relay in 1900), OEUDEGHIEN on 6 October 1905, MOUSTIER on 10 April 1907.
