Gravesend (GB) Old Road West 61

The Old Road Road West office opened as a Money Order office on 1 September 1900. It became a telegraph office 26 March 1901 with code GRC. Its name was changed to Old Road West 61 on 1 July 1901 when the office at 187 was opened. It closed 28 May 1976.

Thimble with date, 3 March 1904 on PPL. Whilst the office name change in 1901, the old PPLs and cancels continued to be used..
PPL of 28 May 1915 with both PPL and cds changed to show number 61.
Registerd cover 11 May 1922. This office was number 6 under Gravesend. Also 29 November 1932.
Rectangular parcel cancel. Only MCH is clear from the date.
