Kottmar is a municipality (7,170 inhabitants end 2021) in the district of Görlitz, in Saxony, Germany, created since 2013 by the merger of the municipalities of Eibau, Niedercunnersdorf and Obercunnersdorf. Its name derives from the Kottmar mountain (583 m).

Eibau is a former municipality (4,481 inhabitants end 2011) in the district Görlitz, in Saxony, Germany. Eibau is known for the Eibauer Schwarzbier (black beer) brewed by Münch-Bräu Eibau. In 2013, it has merged with Niedercunnersdorf and Obercunnersdorf, forming the new municipality of Kottmar.
