Merelbeke (pronunciation: [ˈmeːrəlˌbeːkə]) is a former municipality (24,779 inhabitants in 2021) located in the Flemish province of East Flanders, in Belgium. The municipality comprised the villages of Bottelare, Lemberge, Melsen, Merelbeke proper, Munte and Schelderode.
The municipality Merelbeke-Melle was created on January 1st, 2025.
The post office - named MEIRELBEKE - opened on 12 March 1877.
