Plaškiai - a village in Pagėgiai municipality , 14 km northwest of Pagėgiai , 4 km southwest of Stoniškės , on the right bank of the Gėgė River, near the Nemunas branch Rusnė ; there are roads to Panemunė via Lazdėnai , to Rusnė via Galzdonai , to the road Kaunas - Jurbarkas - Klaipėda .

Plaškiai village is bordered by the villages of Karceviškės , Kovgiriai , Berštininkai , Leitvariai , Šuneliai (all Pagėgiai district municipalities), Pageldynė ( Šilutė district municipality) and the Lithuanian state border with the Russian Kaliningrad Region.

Plaškiai village has a border frontier station, Plaškiai branch of Stoniškės elementary school (in 2005 there were 9 pupils, grades 1-3), white stork colony (16 nests in Rusnė coastal poppies ), preserved pumping station, polder. The old buildings remain : Plaškiai Evangelical Lutheran Church , two parsonages (old and new), school, inn-hotel, tavern.
