Flags of Our Nation, part one
- Notes: sold by USPO Philatelic only as a complete horizontal coil of 50 which has the ten stamps arranged in sequence, affixed without gaps to backing paper which is exactly the same height as the stamps. A set of 10 first day covers and an album/folder with a full coil were also marketed.
- Designs show flag on pole and motif related to the State or Territory. Further parts, to reach a total of 62 Flag stamps (national flag, 50 State flags, five Territorial flags, flag of District of Columbia) appeared in subsequent years
