Wunsiedel is the seat of the district of Wunsiedel in Fichtelgebirge, Upper Franconia, in northeast Bavaria. The town (9,203 inhabitants end 2015) became well known for its annual Luisenburg Festival.
It used stamps issued by the Bavaria (Bayern) State until 1920.
