Zaventem (pronunciation: [ˈzaːvəntɛm]) is a Belgian municipality (33,806 inhabitants end 2017) in the province of Flemish Brabant. It is located in the Dijleland area, one of the three large recreational areas which together form the Green Belt (Groene Gordel) around the Brussels-Capital Region. The municipality comprises the subdivisions (deelgemeenten) of Nossegem, Sint-Stevens-Woluwe, Sterrebeek and Zaventem proper. Zaventem is the home of Brussels Airport, together with neighbouring town of Diegem.

Postal history before 1910

The post office (named SAVENTHEM) opened on 1 July 1867. It used the numeral code 320 before 1874. The NOSSEGHEM relay opened in 1908. The WOLUWE-ST-ETIENNE post office opened on 24 June 1909.
