- Registration Date: 25 February 1841.
- Reported first use 17 March 1841.
- Destroyed: Last used November 1849 and destroyed 6 March 1850
- Sheets Printed 189,000 of which 43,000 were printed in the Maltese cross period.
- Missing Imprimaturs AL, SC-L, TA-L.
- Constant Plate characteristics:Watermark small crown. Alphabet 1.
Plate 3 and all subsequent plates had white lines added to indicate there had been a change in the ink composition. The plate was laid down using guide lines and dots (unlike plate 4) so any stamp with these is not plate 4. An imperf stamp with a Maltese cross is unlikely to be plate 4. Batches of about 5000 sheets were printed when needed. During storage corrosion occurred often more visible in later printings, attempts at cleaning led to scratches seen between the stamps.

- Repairs: LE PB QC were cleaned aggressively which led to damage (and to the top left of LF). They were subsequently re-entered.
