Note:
The "Rentenmark" as new currency was introduced in November 1923 according to a law from 15 October 1923. First banknotes of this new currency appeared at the 01 November 1923 with the partition 1 "Rentenmark" = 100 "Rentenpfennig". It should terminate the currency-chaos of the inflation time. Parallel to this curreny was introduced the "Reichsmark" on 30 August 1924 with the exchange rate 1:1 to the "Rentenmark" as parallel circulation currency. It was the plan that the "Reichsmark" should replace the "Rentenmark" in 1934, but still in 1939 were issued "Rentenmark" numerals. The "Rentenmark" was valid as circulation currency until to 1948.
